I first arrived in Guangling when the spring sun was bright and cheerful, leaving me feeling wide-open and refreshed. Guangling is the ancient Yangzhou, known for its prosperity and rich culture since antiquity. On this journey, I aimed to explore historical sites and discover their hidden charm. As I entered Guangling, I was greeted by a bustling cityscape with streets crossing in all directions. The blend of traditional architecture and modern vibes created a unique atmosphere. Walking along the ancient street, I felt as if I had stepped into a painting, transported back a thousand years. Lining both sides of the streets were shops selling local snacks from Yangzhou, which were so tempting that I couldn't resist trying the fried rice. Each grain was distinct, and the fresh aroma was intoxicating, satisfying my appetite completely.
By chance, I met Auntie Beijing, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. The owner was very down-to- earth. We ordered several dishes that were a perfect blend of colors, aromas, and flavors, incorporating Northeastern cuisine, Hunan dishes, and Huaiyang food, pleasing our palates from all over China. Deeply touched, I decided to write about my travelogue.
